Integrato Market Intelligence
The Market Has a Memory.
Explore Indian market history across equities, sectors, gold, silver, bonds, currency, interest rates and inflation. Compare assets, see how deep past falls went and how long recoveries took, and look at what happened around major events.
Historical observations from official and published data. Not a forecast, and not a recommendation.
Market dashboard
Every market on one board: latest returns, the past year's trend, where each stands in its 52-week range and how far below its high. Prices are the latest published closing values (NSE, BSE, IBJA, FRED); returns use the longer NAV histories of index funds and ETFs that track each market, so they include dividends and fund costs. Daily data, not real-time.
Where are we now? What history shows
Two ways to put today in context: how far a market is below its high, and how its valuation compares with its own past. For each, what happened next from similar starting points in the past.
Holding period and the chance of a loss
For every past start date, did the investment end below where it began? The table and chart show that share for each holding period. Choose markets to compare.
Market Analyzer
Choose up to five series and a period. The chart, the table and the observations below update together, and the link in your address bar saves the analysis.
Learn more: how these figures are calculated
- Growth of ₹1 lakh
- What ₹1,00,000 placed in each series on the first common date would have become, using the series' own values. No costs, taxes or contributions are added.
- CAGR
- Compound annual growth rate: the constant yearly rate that turns the starting value into the ending value over the period. Periods under a year show the simple return.
- Volatility
- Standard deviation of month-end returns, multiplied by √12. It measures how widely monthly returns varied, not the risk of loss by itself.
- Maximum drawdown
- The largest fall from a previous peak to a later low within the period, with the dates and, if it happened, the date the previous peak was regained.
- Real CAGR
- CAGR adjusted for consumer-price inflation over the same months: (1 + CAGR) ÷ (1 + inflation rate) − 1. Shown only while the CPI series covers the whole period.
Rolling returns: one number is never the whole story
Every possible holding period of the chosen length, started at each month-end. The spread shows how much the experience depended on the starting date.
Corrections, bear markets and time to recover
Every fall of the chosen size from a previous peak, found from the data: when it started, how deep it went, and how long it took to regain the old peak. A fall of 10–20% is labelled a correction and 20% or more a bear market.
What happened around major events
Performance before and following a date, for the series chosen in the Market Analyzer. This shows what the markets did around the event; it does not show that the event caused it.
Calendar-year returns
Each cell is one calendar year's return. Colour helps scanning; the number is the value. Partial first years and the current year to date are marked.
Inflation and interest-rate regimes
Average returns of the chosen series in months grouped by the economic environment of that month. Historical observations, not forecasts.
How closely markets move together
Correlation of monthly returns for the series in the Market Analyzer, over the selected period, and how one pair's correlation changed over time.
Month-by-month seasonality
Average return in each calendar month and how often it was positive. Past patterns like these are often not repeated.
Market Memory: pick any date
What the data showed on a date you choose, and what happened over the following 1, 3, 5 and 10 years.
If you had invested: ₹1 lakh once, or a monthly SIP
A one-time ₹1,00,000 on the start date, valued on the end date, for each series in the Market Analyzer. Fund-proxy series are after fund costs; taxes are not deducted.
Build a mix: how combining assets changed the ride
Pick up to four assets and their weights. See how the combination grew, how deep its falls were and its worst year, next to each asset on its own, over the same months.
Market history, one page at a time
Ready-made summaries with the key numbers worked out, each with its sources and dates.
Data sources and methodology
Every series, where it comes from, how often it updates, the first and last date available, and how it is used. Nothing is interpolated: a series starts on its first real observation, and gaps stay gaps.
Not included yet
The RBI repo-rate history, FD rates by bank, WPI, MOSPI's Index of Industrial Production and quarterly GDP are not shown because no free, machine-readable and reliable source is connected yet. Index levels, P/E, P/B and dividend yield come from NSE's published daily closing-values files; real-time exchange prices are not shown, as they need a data licence.
