About this calculator

An STP parks your money in a low-risk fund and moves a fixed amount into an equity fund every month. See the transfer schedule, the projected value and how it compares with investing everything at once.

How is this calculated?

The full amount starts in the source fund, earning its return. Each month an equal amount is moved to the equity fund, which grows at the assumed equity return. After the transfers end, the equity fund keeps growing until the end of the period.
